All that is left of Golden

Across the highway, with the aid of your telephoto lens, you photograph all that remains of Golden.

Formed in the 1840's as El Real de San Francisco, and in the 1880's renamed Golden, this town was one of the gold boom towns that grew in New Mexico in the 19th century. Three ruined buildings are all that remain of Golden. You can see the old schoolhouse in the right foreground.
