Yeah, I promised an update, but I'm soooooo busy as I'm sure many of you are at this time of year (ok..so I'm mostly trying to find a job while doing part time work blah, blah).Anyway, I really don't have time to go through the latest news right now, but I did put up some new sounds from the "Water" episode.
I promise to get the update done right after Labor Day weekend :)

Update will be here tomorrow...including new E2 sounds!8/8
Well, tomorrow morning I leave for Michigan for a friends wedding. I have to get up in 5 hours but I felt guilty for not getting an update here for so long :(In the next week or so I'll be putting up lots of new sounds that were passed on to me by an E2 fan. Hopefully you'll enjoy those.
There were rumors that E2 tapes in PAL format are available in England, but I don't think that has been confirmed.
There's a new E2 page at http://users.visi.net/~rapture/ Was I listed as a link there....hmmm....
E2 got more press in another letter located in Issue 230 of Starlog.
There is a page on where to find available E2 merchandise at http://members.aol.com/KissAMuse/E2F

I had a great time in Princeton - I got to see the remains of a hurricane and NYC, all during one weekend!NBC (the evil empire that helped kill E2) has been getting poor reviews for their coverage of the Olympics. I would just like to see something LIVE once in awhile. As I was listening to NPR discuss the American women winning the team gymnastics competition, I got to see that 6 hours later on NBC. The network is also spending about 40 MILLION dollars to advertise the "Jeff Foxworthy Show" which was cancelled by ABC last year. I get this number from the fact that the going rate for commercials during the Olympics is $500,000/ 30 second spot, and NBC has shown their #$%#&*@ commercial approximately 80 times.
From Inga as usual :)
KIRK TRUTNER'S MOVIE:
The July 15, 1996 issue of People has a very short blurb on DANTE'S PEAK on page 24. It says that DANTE'S PEAK ("starring Pierce Brosnan as a volcanologist and THE TERMINATOR's Linda Hamilton as the mayor of fictional Dante's Peak, where a long-dormant mountain is ready to rumble") is one of two volcano films coming out next summer. The other one is called just VOLCANO and will star Tommy Lee Jones (and if I read this article right, it's set in LA. Are there volcanos in LA???) "VOLCANO is a more traditional disaster movie," says DANTE'S PEAK producer Gale Anne Hurd. "Ours is more of a scientific adventure film."
Remember, DANTE'S PEAK is the one Kirk is in.
ANTONIO SABATO JR. TV MOVIE:
Nancy posted the following:
Here's the scoop on Antonio's new movie.......
'WOLVERINE' STARRING ANTONIO SABATO JR. STARTS PRODUCTION IN ITALY FOR FOX
Frederick Forsyth-Based Story Will Air On 'The FOX Tuesday Night Movie'
Production began in Italy this week on WOLVERINE, a television movie based on a story by Frederick Forsyth ("The Day of the Jackal") and starring Antonio Sabato Jr. (MELROSE PLACE; IF LOOKS COULD KILL: FROM THE FILES OF AMERICA'S MOST WANTED). Shooting entirely on location in Italy, WOLVERINE will air this coming season on "The FOX Tuesday Night Movie."
Having moved to the U.S. when he was 12, Sabato returns to his native Italy to star in this action-thriller as Harry Gordini, a college professor and ex-Navy SEAL who is forced to use his lethal military training when he and his family accidentally become pawns in a war between a dangerous drug cartel and government agents. Traci Lind ("The Road to Wellville") co-stars as Monica, Harry's wife, whose own Secret Service background proves vital when she and their 7-year old son, Joey, are kidnaped by the drug smugglers. Richard Brooks ("Law & Order") plays John Bains, a government agent pursuing the narcotics dealers.
WOLVERINE is a Citadel Entertainment production in association with Eagle-Journey-Matrix. Michael Campus ("Hiroshima," "The Man Who Broke 1,000 Chains") and Rowland Perkins ("Hiroshima" and co-founder of CAA) are executive producers and Frederick Muller ("Fatherland") is producer. David Jackson ("Alistair MacLean's Night Watch") is director and Robert T. Megginson ("F/X") wrote the screenplay, from a story by Frederick Forsyth.

Happy 4th of July!
Hi all - I just spent a LONG weekend in Marquette Michigan and now I am heading for Princeton for a two week visit where I'll be helping out with some shockwave development geared towards high school science classes. This summer has become very busy! I promise when I get back I'll do a lot of updating on the site. This weeks info comes once again from Inga :) and you should feel free to check out her web sites listed below (Grendler U, RHM's)For those Americans in the crowd - hope you had a good 4th of July holiday.
PS...if you didn't send in your money for photos yet, please do so. Contact John Johnson if you need further info, or need to give us your address...since I'll be in Princeton.
CLANCY BROWN TO BE CARTOON LEX LUTHOR:
The June 22-28 issue TV Guide had a short (one page) piece about the new Superman cartoon series. The show will have a prime-time debut on September 9th on the WB network and then move into a Saturday morning slot. Tim Daly will be the voice of Superman, Dana Delany will be the voice of Lois Lane, and CLANCY BROWN will be the voice of Lex Luthor. No further mention of BROWN was made in the article, but they did put a little "(Earth 2)" after his name.
ANTONIO SIGHTINGS:
ANTONIO SABATO JR. has been getting plenty of exposure lately. (Make of that statement what you will.) His Calvin Klein spot ran as a two page ad in "this weeks" double issue of Entertainment Weekly. (I didn't get a publication date, but it's the one with John Travolta on the cover.)A picture of his billboard was seen in a recent People. (Again, no publication date and the best description I've gotten is that "I think" ... "a woman" was on the cover.)
He got his picture in the June 10, 1996 issue of People (the one with Tom Cruise on the cover) in the "Star Tracks" poparazzi (sp?) section. The caption read, "...Calvin Klein underwear operative ANTONIO SABATO JR. brought his older sister Simonne [also pictured] to the premiere [of Mission:Impossible]." And a pic of Antonio and son Jack appeared in the People issue of July 1, 1996, on page 5 in "Star Tracks".
KIRK'S MOVIE:
The following is apparently a promo blurb from Universal on Kirk Trutner's new movie. (Alas, no actual mention of Kirk.) "Pierce Brosnan (Goldeneye) and Linda Hamilton (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) star in Universal Pictures' Dante's Peak, an epic adventure directed by Roger Donaldson (Species) from a screenplay by Leslie Bohem. Brosnan stars as USGS Volcanologist Harry Dalton, who travels to a small Pacific Northwest town to investigate recent seismic episodes in the area. Convinced that a long-dormant site is now an active volcano, he enlists the aid of the town's mayor, played by Hamilton, in a race against the earth's clock to evacuate the townspeople before the mountain known as Dante's Peak unleashes the most terrifying and deadly force in all of nature. The film is being produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens) and Joseph M. Singer (the upcoming Daylight) with executive producer Ilona Herzberg (The River Wild, Waterworld). . . Stay tuned for more activity on Dante's Peak, which will erupt in theaters everywhere in 1997."
